Drinks Cabinets

Updated

A drinks cabinet is the cocktail-bar piece that hides spirit bottles, mixers and glassware behind closed doors when not in use; opens for evening entertaining as a proper bar. The format spans contemporary (mirror-fronted, brass-finish frames), industrial (reclaimed-wood and metal), and Art Deco (brass, lacquered black, gold accents). Aosom UK, Cheap Furniture Warehouse and Cherry Lane Garden Centres between them cover £30-£3,585 across the range. Internal layout matters more than the front facade: look for at least 30cm of internal height to take taller spirit bottles standing up, an internal lighting strip (sets the bar mood, costs £10-£30 to retrofit), and a glass-rack section above for stemware. Some drinks cabinets fold down a working bar surface for cocktail-making; others stay closed. Standard widths run 80-130cm, depths 35-50cm. Most cabinets come flat-packed; assembly takes 1-2 hours for a single person. The grid below filters by size, style and internal fittings.
