Inflatable Hot Tubs
Updated
An inflatable hot tub is the flat-friendly, garden-temporary version of the permanent build: deflates and packs into a box for storage, sets up on any flat surface in 30 minutes, and runs from a standard 13A socket. The catch is running cost and lifespan. Inflatable hot tubs cost £2,000-£3,500 a year in electricity if used regularly (the thin insulation needs the heater on most of the time), and the inflatable shell typically lasts 4-6 seasons before the seams give. Cheap Furniture Warehouse, Cheaper-Online.co.uk and Cherry Lane Garden Centres between them cover £9-£1,500 across the range. Lay-Z-Spa, Bestway and Intex are the dominant brands. Capacity: 2-person (600L), 4-person (800L), 6-person (1,000-1,200L). Look for AirJet vs HydroJet vs Combo: AirJet is bubbles only, HydroJet adds water-pressure massage jets; Combo does both at a £200-£400 premium. Most inflatable tubs need a flat solid base, patio slabs work, lawn doesn't.
