Wall Mirrors
Updated
Wall mirrors are the broader category beyond bathroom-only mirrors: full-length leaning mirrors, decorative wall art mirrors, hallway mirrors, dressing mirrors. Aosom UK, Cheap Furniture Warehouse and Cherry Lane Garden Centres between them cover £9-£1,159 across the range. Three main formats. Full-length leaning (180-200cm tall, 50-80cm wide, leans against the wall, suits bedrooms and dressing rooms); wall-mounted decorative (round, sunburst, ornate frames, statement pieces above mantles or hallway tables); and standard wall-hung (rectangular or oval, the conventional bedroom or hallway mirror). Frame: wood, metal, brass, gold-leaf, no-frame edge-polished glass - pick to match the room's other hardware. Anti-corrosion silvering is the spec to check for damp environments; standard mirror silvering corrodes from behind in bathrooms or unheated halls within a few years. Anchor full-length mirrors with a wall-strap kit; without it a child or pet pushing the mirror tips it forward.
