Water Bottles
Updated
A reusable water bottle replaces single-use plastic for a household and saves the equivalent of 200-400 plastic bottles per year per person. Aosom UK, Bedeck Home and Cherry Lane Garden Centres between them cover £3-£113 across the range. Material decides the purpose. Stainless steel (vacuum-insulated, keeps drinks hot 12 hours and cold 24, the everyday-carry pick); BPA-free plastic (lighter, cheaper, less insulating, fits gym-and-running use); glass (clean taste, breaks if dropped, kitchen-and-office only); aluminium (lighter than steel, dents easier). Capacity: 350-500ml (single-serve, fits cup holders), 750ml-1L (full-day capacity, fits car cup holders just), 1.5-2L (gym, hiking, full hydration). Lid type: screw-top (the watertight standard), flip-top (one-handed), straw (kids and gym), and "chug" wide-mouth (for ice cubes and quick-drink). Vacuum-insulated bottles need at least 18/8 stainless interior to avoid metallic taste.
