Bathroom Shelves
Updated
Bathroom shelves are the open-front alternative to closed cabinet storage: faster access for everyday bottles, less visual weight in small bathrooms, and the right format for displaying decorative items (rolled towels, plants, candle pieces). Aosom UK, Cherry Lane Garden Centres and Cox and Cox between them cover £10-£402 across the range. Two main formats: wall-mounted shelves (single, double or triple-tier) and freestanding shelving (typically tall narrow ladder-style or corner units). Wall-mounted glass shelves are a contemporary look but show water spots; chrome or black-finish wire shelves are easy to clean; solid-wood shelves need sealing for bathroom use. Look for shelves with a back rail to stop bottles falling forward (especially relevant in showers). Standard shelf widths run 30-60cm; depth 12-20cm. Most shelves rated for 5-8kg distributed weight; check before loading with heavy bottles.
