Pressure Washers
Updated
A pressure washer cleans patios, drives, fence panels, garden furniture and cars in a fraction of the time hand-scrubbing takes. The spec to focus on is pressure rating in bar (or PSI). 100-110 bar is light-duty (car washing, garden furniture); 130-140 bar is the household standard (patio cleaning, fence panels, decking); 150+ bar is heavy-duty (concrete, brickwork, contractor use). Aosom UK, Cherry Lane Garden Centres and Fulfilora between them cover £19-£890 across the range. Power source: corded electric (most common, 1500-2000W, the household pick); cordless battery (newer category, lighter but limited run-time per charge); petrol (heavy-duty, professional or rural use). Flow rate (litres per minute, often L/min) decides cleaning speed: 6-8 L/min is household-level; 9+ is heavy-duty. Look for replaceable accessory nozzles, especially the rotary turbo nozzle for stubborn grime. Patio cleaner attachments (rotating heads enclosed in skirts) save the back-aching scrubbing motion.
