Hinge type matters: top-and-bottom pivot (simplest, most reliable); side-hinge with stays (allows the door to swing wider); concealed hinges (cleanest contemporary look). Door height: 1850mm is the household standard, 1950mm and 2000mm available for taller users. Quick-release hinges (the door lifts off for cleaning) cost £30-£50 more but transform deep cleaning.
