Editorial Policy
LoveHomeStyle.co.uk is a price-comparison site for UK furniture and homeware. We list products from approved UK retailers, compare their prices, and surface deals where they exist. This page explains how we do that and the standards we hold the work to.
How we pick products
The product catalogue comes from data feeds supplied by retailers we are affiliate partners with through Awin. Retailers cannot pay us to be listed and cannot pay us to rank higher within a category. A product appears on our site because the retailer has it in stock and the feed is current; it appears at the top of a listing because of its discount, freshness or popularity (the sorts users can choose), never because money changed hands.
We do not write product reviews. We are a comparison site, not a review publisher. Where editorial copy appears on a category, brand or retailer page, it is written by our editor as a buying guide, not as a product endorsement.
Pricing and stock
Prices and stock levels come from the retailer's product feed and refresh nightly. Prices shown are the retailer's listed price at the time of feed update; click through to the retailer for live pricing and stock. We track price history so the page can show whether the current price is the lowest seen in the last 30 days, but the live price on the retailer's site is always the source of truth.
We don't add affiliate markup. The price on our site is the price you'll pay the retailer.
Editorial standards
- Named editor. All editorial copy is signed off by our editor Jason, a UK marketing consultant and trained designer. Author profile at /author/jason.
- No fabricated experience. We don't pretend to have tested products we haven't tested. Buying-guide copy is based on published specs, retailer warranties, UK furniture standards (BS EN 747 for bunks, BS 3870 for mattress sizes, etc.) and our own price-data work - not invented anecdotes.
- UK locale, plain English. Sizes in cm, prices in £, retailer names in their UK form. No US-imported phrasing.
- Facts over hype. No "best ever", "must-have", "life-changing" framing. Editorial pieces should help a reader decide; if a section can't do that without superlatives, it gets cut.
How we make money
We earn a commission when you click through to a retailer from our site and buy something. The retailer pays us; you pay the same price as you would buying direct. Full detail at /how-we-make-money. The commercial relationship doesn't change which products we list or where they rank - that's a discipline we hold because trust in the price-comparison space is the only asset that compounds.
Corrections
If you spot a factual error in our editorial copy (a wrong dimension, a misattributed standard, a retailer policy we've described inaccurately), email via our contact page and we'll fix it. Editorial pages carry a published date and, where edited, a last-updated date so changes are visible.
If you spot a wrong price or stock claim, that's almost always a stale feed - click through to the retailer for the current state, and let us know so we can flag the feed for refresh.
What we won't do
- Take payment to add a product, brand or retailer to the catalogue.
- Take payment to rank one product above another.
- Publish AI-generated review content disguised as first-hand experience.
- Fabricate user reviews or aggregate ratings we don't have the data to support.
- Hide the commercial relationship behind an affiliate click - the footer disclosure is visible on every page.
