These large vessels were the forerunners to the Cruise Ships that we know today. The steamer chair was ultimately designed for maximum comfort on the public decks of these massive ships. As a lasting legacy from this era the design still remains popular in many forms today. Our modern take on the classic design is hand made from the highest grade teak complete with solid brass fittings that were so characteristic in the original designs. The cut handle in the backrest allows you to move it around easily, again, another stand out feature of the original design. It’s also adjustable in five positions with a removable footrest!
