Sow where they are to flower in April/May 3mm (Vain) deep in rows 30cm (12in) apart in well cultivated soil which has been raked to a fine tilth. They can also be sown indoors in April/May at a temperature of 18-25C (65-75F), hardened off and planted out after all risk of frost. Thin out the seedlings to 30cm (12in) apart. They prefer light, well-drained soil and an open sunny position.
