Makes a dramatic cut flower too. Grow Thompson & Morgan Echinacea ‘Green Twister’ plants in a sunny or semi-shaded position on moist, well-drained soil. Coneflowers prefer a deep, fertile soil and will benefit from the addition of some well-rotted manure or garden compost to soil prior to planting. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season until coneflower plants are fully established. Deadhead faded flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. In autumn, cut back faded Echinacea flower stems and apply a mulch of well-rotted manure to the base of the plant. Divide overcrowded plants in autumn or spring.
